The scourge of insecurity has been chasing the El Mondongo neighborhood for many years, where its inhabitants do not stop demanding measures to help reverse this pressing panorama.

Multiple meetings of neighbors were held with police chiefs, with officials from the Buenos Aires Ministry of Security and with municipal authorities of that area.

But nothing changes. Or yes: the criminal modalities with which those who took over the tranquility of the frontists in that area of our city operate are mutating.

According to what local residents reported to this newspaper, the usual assaults and raids on homes and businesses, as well as armed attacks on pedestrians on public roads to strip them of their belongings, in recent days have been repeated theft of motorcycles and bicycles that were taken from inside buildings.

“THERE WERE THREE CASES ON THE SAME DAY”

Domingo Novello is one of the leaders of the Neighborhood Assembly of the El Mondongo neighborhood.

Regarding the recent cases of insecurity that have those who reside in the area in check, he released a piece of information that is representative of the problem that has them mistreated.

“We got to have three robberies in different places but on the same day. It is unbelievable, ”she sentenced.

He specified that “from a building of 67 between 118 and 119 they stole a motorcycle that was in the garage sector.”

He cited that they also “robbed the doorknob of a house at 66 between 117 and 118” and noted that “in diagonal 73, at numeral 868, they broke the gate of the building and stole a bicycle from inside.”

In relation to this last fact, he reflected that “a neighbor told that 4 young people acted, around 3 in the morning. Although a patrol car arrived after 911 was called, the police did not find that group of thieves.”

“It was at noon, when we were at home, but we didn’t hear anything. There should be more patrolling and the Red Zone would have to be eradicated,” he maintained.

ATTACKED WITHOUT PITY

Another of the karmas that the residents of El Mondongo face are street assaults. Novello alluded to a case that caused a stir, due to the violence of the event. “A neighbor told me that in 62 between 2 and 3 people robbed and mercilessly beat a girl who was walking. It was late. They stole money, debit and credit cards, and her cell phone. Because of her blows, they pulled out a tooth, ”she revealed.
