One of the most traditional plays in Mexico is Vaselinebecause since its premiere in the 80s it has continued to perform on different stages and with different casts, and this 2023 the story set in the 50s will return to the stage.

And it is that the producer Alexander Gou announced that the play based on the classic 1978 American film will bring back the original members of Timbirichewho as children also represented it by the hand of producer Julissa De Llano.

The cast of Vaseline will have the participation of Benny Ibarra, Erik Rubin, Mariana Garza, Diego Schoening and Alix Bauer. Likewise, the musical, with a book, lyrics and music by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, will be directed by Mauricio García Lozano and will have the translation by Julissa and the musical production by Benny Ibarra.

In addition to the stellar role of the members of the pop group that marked a generation, the staging will feature the presence of María León, José Luis Rodríguez the guanaLupita Sandoval, Verónica Jaspeado, Alejandro Ibarra, Yahir, Kalimba, Angélica Vale and Andrea Legarreta.
