A new tool based on artificial intelligence from ChatGPT and Dall-E offers to generate PowerPoint or Google Slides type presentations for you. We’ll show you how to get the most out of it.
In the wake of ChatGPT, Dall-E or Stable Diffusion, generative artificial intelligences are multiplying. A few days ago, Beautiful.ai, a platform that allows you to create presentations without going through PowerPoint, also unveiled a new AI-based tool: the DesignerBot.
A new AI that relies on ChatGPT and Dall-E
This artificial intelligence is able to generate complete presentations based on a request made by the user. You can approach him naturally, just like you would with ChatGPT. Moreover, Beautiful.ai relies on the technology developed by OpenAI to ensure the functioning of the DesignerBot. Regular users of ChatGPT or Dall-E will therefore not be out of place.
Based on the user’s request, the DesignerBot generates a PowerPoint or Google Slides type presentation from A to Z, says Beautiful.ai in a press release. Artificial intelligence is in charge of creating appropriate text, layouts, photos, icons and design ». Graphs can also be produced automatically by the AI. To produce images or texts, the start-up uses OpenAI innovations. It takes a few minutes to get a presentation of 10 to 20 slides.
As is the case with ChatGPT or Dall-E, you can improve the rendering generated by the DesignerBot by giving maximum context and information in your query. The more specific you are, the more the presentation will be calibrated to your needs. If the presentation does not suit you, you are obviously free to apply alterations.

A PowerPoint creation assistant
For Beautiful.ai, artificial intelligence is intended to support users in charge of creating a presentation. The company suggests that the tool does not fully replace the human. On the other hand, it makes it easier to start a job, and to avoid the anxiety of the blank page, explains Mitch Grassofounder and director of Beautiful.ai:
“Starting from a blank canvas and figuring out how to visualize your story as a series of compelling slides has always been the biggest challenge with traditional presentation software – especially for people without design skills. “.
Our experiments confirm this observation. Mirroring ChatGPT, the DesignerBot is ideal for giving ideas, suggesting avenues to explore or chewing up some of the work… but the result is far from perfect. Generative AI sometimes makes surprising decisions, especially when it comes to illustrative images.
To illustrate a slide devoted to AI and its usefulness, the DesignerBot, for example, opted for a photo showing a woman with a heart-shaped icon. Also, the icons are occasionally mis-selected and don’t match the text at all. Finally, the descriptions often turn out to be repetitive and structural problems appear. For example, the AI places a conclusion before continuing its development.
Despite the flaws identified above, the DesignerBot is still a great tool. To get the most out of it, however, it must be assumed that significant modifications will have to be made to the initial creation. Once the changes have been made, the Internet user can export result in PowerPoint, Google Slides and PDF formats.
To test the tool, Beautiful.ai offers a 14-day trial program. You will only be debited via your bank card at the end of this period. The subscription is billed at $12 per month. If you frequently need to create presentations, you might like the solution and save you time… but don’t expect miracles. Note that the software is still in beta.
