He recently announced that he wanted to put his career on hold. After the shooting of The Crowded Roomhis new series for Apple TV+, Tom Holland said he was flushed, psychologically and physically exhausted.
But guest in the English program “Live With Kelly and Mark” (see below), he assures today the bad reviews suffered by the show have nothing to do with his decision. The proof: his break started 8 months ago!
“It’s so funny. Obviously, The Crowded Room came out and we didn’t have very favorable reviews… So the press cut it short by saying that I had taken this year off because of the reviews. But not at all. I’ve been in it for 8 months now! I relax at home in London, I go to the Grands Prix, I play golf…”
Furthermore, Tom Holland wants to point out that if the criticism went down The Crowded Room in its entirety (18% d’opinions positives sur Rotten Tomatoes), viewers liked (94% on the same site):
“I would like to say a huge thank you to my fans and people who have seen the show because we are 94% positive on Rotten Tomatoes. I am so grateful to have a wonderful community of people supporting me and are there for me, so I’m honored and really excited as the sequel to the series has yet to come out.”
