According to the indiscretions collected by the journalists of the Hollywood Reporter, the agreement signed by dj2 Entertainment and Amazon for the Tomb Raider movies and TV series would also understand it developing a new game interconnected, in fact, to the future Lara Croft-themed projects of the streaming giant.
The anonymous sources contacted by the Hollywood Reporter underline how the deal signed by Amazon and dj2 Entertainment also includes the rights for the development and marketing of “at least one video game in the Lara Croft series”.
The game in question, specify the ‘deep throats’ interviewed by the journalists of the Californian magazine, should be interconnected to the events narrated in the new feature film and in the Tomb Raider TV series produced by Amazon.
The intention of the e-commerce and streaming giant, according to the Hollywood Reporter, would be precisely that of create a Tomb Raider franchise that allows old and new fans of the series to immerse themselves in the adventures of Lara Croft with films, television series and, indeed, video games.
It would therefore be a parallel project to the one Crystal Dynamics is pursuing with Tomb Raider Next, whose development appears to be proceeding smoothly as suggested by the software house itself and, more recently, by the rumors about the official presentation during 2023.
