Farm life requires some adaptations and changes in everyday life – especially if you are used to city life.

When Erik Sæter (26), Eli Kari Gjengedal (51) and Ingeborg Myhre (47) arrived The Torpet celebrity farm However, there was one thing they managed to sneak away from: getting up early.

The participants took a special action.

From A cows to B cows

In order to sleep longer in the mornings, they had to get the cows used to being milked later. Instead of doing this at 5-6 in the morning, the task was often postponed until 10 o’clock.

As an uncharacteristic B person, this suited TV 2’s weather anchor Eli Kari Gjengedal perfectly.

– I do everything I can to not have to get up early. Around midnight I swing the broom at home and am at my most eager throughout the night, she reveals, adding that the Farm life in 2021 was not entirely ideal on this front:

– When I was at the Farm, we got up with the sun. It was pure torture. I was terrified that it would also happen at Torpet, she says.

Agreed though

Gjengedal further says that the participants did agree that the cows should be B cows.

– The cows’ milk production adapts when they are milked. Whether it’s 6 o’clock or 10 o’clock is the same, only they are milked at the same time intervals, she says.

The weather anchor was not alone in being a B person, as the other participants also prefer this lifestyle.

– I was terrified that I would have to turn it upside down at Torpet. When I was with the Farm, everyone was so hard-working and got up before the birds did. Then it was no big deal that I should lie down and sleep until 10 o’clock, says Ingeborg Myhre to TV 2.

– Fortunately, Eli Kari and I are exactly the same there, and there was no question of us getting up at the crack of dawn. Erik was completely on board with the plan as well. He is extremely happy to sleep.

Got the green light

The change happened after the participants got the green light for this, say both Gjengedal and Myhre.

– We spoke to the animal manager about it and luckily got the go-ahead. A super solution if you ask me, says Gjengedal.

Myhre is also satisfied with the solution.

– It worked like a charm with our B cows! As long as they are milked with a 12-hour stay, it goes super fine. We checked with the animal manager just in case, who approved our plan. The cows became happy B cows. I actually think they have never been happier than when they had long, quiet mornings!, she says.

Stupid celebrity premiered on TV 2 Play January 10.
