Tottenham Hotspur may soon present a new right-back. As ‘Guardian’ and ‘Times’ report unanimously, the Spurs have agreed with Sporting Lisbon on the transfer of Pedro Porro. The fee is estimated at 45 million euros. The exit clause implemented in Porro’s contract amounts to the same amount.
According to The Times, Spurs and Porro have already agreed a five-year deal. Only the final payment modalities have not yet been fully clarified. Coach Antonio Conte has long identified the 23-year-old Spaniard as the ideal solution for the right-back.
Porro joined Manchester City from FC Girona in 2019. However, the national player could not prevail with the Skyblues. After loan spells at Real Valladolid and Sporting, the Lisbon side signed the right-footer from City last summer for 8.5 million euros. Now the Portuguese club Porro is likely to resell for a hefty profit.
