A 23-year-old student from the Faculty of Medicine of Toulouse was indicted on Wednesday for “rape and sexual assault by a person in a state of intoxication”. He is charged with four rapes and two assaults.

At the origin of the investigation, a complaint was filed against this young man by a young woman, also students at the University of Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier. Other names of alleged victims were then mentioned. The preliminary investigation, entrusted to the departmental security of Haute-Garonne, allowed the hearing of six women denouncing similar facts which would have occurred between 2018 and 2021. All did not wish to file a complaint.

Placement in pre-trial detention

The facts occurred, according to the complainants, during student parties but also in a private setting. Some of these young women are the former girlfriends of the respondent.

The young man, son of a doctor from Toulouse who also teaches in the faculty of medicine according to 100% Radio and France 3 who reveal the case, was taken into custody last Tuesday. He denied the facts. Contrary to the requisitions of the prosecution, the judge of freedoms and detention decided to place him in pre-trial detention.
