Care facilities are increasingly looking for innovative and digital options for smart incontinence care. At “Elderly Care 2023”, professionals can see for themselves how the Orizon Smart incontinence management system improves everyday care – for caregivers and those in need of care alike.
From April 25th to 27th, 2023, the care industry will meet in the Nuremberg exhibition center at “Altenpflege 2023”, the leading trade fair for the German care industry. Ontex, the Belgium-based, international manufacturer of personal hygiene products, is present at the trade fair again this year and is presenting the incontinence management system Orizon Smart.

The system, which combines a high-quality incontinence product with a sensor and a mobile and web application, already convinced the jury at this year’s CIO Leadership Summit in Belgium. She awarded Orizon Smart “Best digital innovation”. “The Orizon system is a forward-looking technology that significantly improves the quality of care and reduces the workload of the staff,” says Detlef Röseler, Managing Director of Ontex Healthcare Deutschland GmbH.
Live demos show how everyday care can be improved
Nursing homes are now under considerable time and cost pressure, which also affects the incontinence care of the residents. “The use of Orizon Smart ensures that incontinence products are only changed when necessary. This increases the comfort of those in need of care, especially at night. The staff is informed in good time about an upcoming change via app or web,” says Röseler. A pilot project in a German nursing home has already been completed to the satisfaction of residents and nursing staff.
At the fair, nursing professionals have the opportunity to follow live demos of the Orizon Smart system on a presentation area. Detlef Röseler: “In this way, they can develop an idea on site of how Orizon Smart can also improve their everyday care.”

At the same time, the latest addition to the Orizon family is celebrating its premiere at the “Altenpflege 2023”: In addition to the Orizon Smart Briefs by iD, the Orizon Smart Form by iD incontinence pads are now also part of the Orizon Smart product portfolio.
Visitors will find Ontex’s Orizon Smart at the GVS stand in Hall 7A, Stand A16.
