Through his Youtube channel, Ben recounts his daily life in Algeria. After Biskra, she decides to put her luggage in Touggourt. Indeed, in a recent video, the Frenchman recounts the journey to arrive at his destination in southern Algeria.
But who says travel says tasting the culinary specialties of each region. In Touggourt, Ben tried the experience of tasting a new version of Algerian couscous. Indeed, the videographer has made it known that it is a couscous that he does not know yet.
The restaurant owner explains that it is the Bendrag. A vegetarian couscous, a specialty of the Touggourt region, made with vegetables, including spinach and purslane. Bendrag is a must on restaurant menus in Touggourt as well as at weddings and major events.
“Another different couscous” reacts Ben to this new version of the most popular dish in Algeria. Served with a sauce similar to a “Vegetable puree”, this Algerian dish has seduced the French traveller, who continues to chain bites to savor the dish at Bendrag.
