The driver of a dump truck who was involved in an accident Tuesday night in Chelsea, Massachusetts, has been arrested for a series of violations, including operating under the influence, according to police.

On Tuesday night, Chelsea police said the immediate area was closed to traffic following the crash that occurred on Everett Avenue at Third Street. The Beacon Street exit ramp was also closed. Any traffic coming from Chestnut Street onto Everett Avenue had to turn right on Everett. Third Street was closed at Broadway.

All full closures reopened on Wednesday morning.

A 34-year-old man, identified as Wilfredo Chun of Everett, has been arrested for motor vehicle violations, including operating under the influence, the Chelsea Police Department said Wednesday. Officers said they found Chun after the accident.

No injuries were reported.

According to police, there were low-hanging live wires and no pedestrians were allowed on the scene beyond the caution tape. The area experienced a power outage, authorities said.

Photos from the scene show the impact snapped a pole in half, with several cars damaged and street signs toppled.

Chun was expected to appear in a Chelsea court on Wednesday morning.
