As the authorities and the press in Miami prepare for the hearing this Tuesday, former President Donald Trump made his first public appearance since the indictment. And he did it with a campaign speech at the Georgia state Republican party convention.
This Friday, the day the indictment against him for handling classified documents, Trump was playing golf with the congressman and former mayor of Miami Dade, Carlos Giménez.
“Many people were calling him saying that they supported him, that what had happened was a scandal,” Giménez said when asked how the former president was doing.
“He is confident, he believes and I also believe that when he goes to trial they will find him not guilty,” he added.
