Trump's Doral rally revives presidential campaign

MIAMI.- Former President Donald Trump will rally supporters at Trump National Doral Golf Resort in Florida on Tuesday to continue his campaign trail, somewhat muted after the recent debate with fellow Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

The event will begin at 7:00 pm at the Golf Club, located at 4400 Northwest 87th Avenue. However, the public will be able to access the venue from 2:00 pm.

There is much speculation about whether Trump will use the meeting to announce his running mate in his race for the White House, with names such as Senator Marco Rubio, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and Ohio Senator James David Vance being considered.

The rally is expected to serve as a demonstration of the Republican leader’s support among his supporters. Top political figures, such as Senator Rubio and local Republican Party officials, will take part in the event.

One of the attendees will be Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera, who captured the spirit of the event in X’s words: “We are united behind President Donald Trump with a clear platform that resonates with the American people, from the top of the ballot to local races.”

Another attraction of Trump’s rally at his golf club is whether he will finally break his silence on the mental state of his opponent, to whom he has barely referred since the debate on June 27.

The answer may lie in former Republican Congressman Steve Stivers’ recent statement to The Hill: “When your opponent is blowing himself up, don’t interrupt him. There’s no reason to butt into that conversation.”

Before announcing his running mate, Trump may be waiting to see what the Democratic Party’s move will be. However, the conservative leader has until the Republican national convention from July 15 to 18 in Milwaukee to announce his vice presidential candidate.

Regarding the impact of the event on the city, the Doral Police Department warns that during the day there will be traffic delays on Northwest 87th Avenue, in the section between 58th and 36th Streets, as well as on Northwest 41st Street in the section from Northwest 87th Avenue to Northwest 97th Avenue.

Authorities recommend planning your trip in advance, using alternative routes and being patient.
