The precedents of Turin-Cremonese: a balance that smiles at the grenades with regard to the challenges of the past

The last Torino-Cremonese match dates back to 28 April 1996 at the Stadio Delle Alpi, which finished 1-0 for Toro. Mezzano’s goal decided in the 40th minute in front of 14,689 spectators. The first one dates back to the 1923/1924 season: Torino-Cremonese 4-1. Janni scored for the grenade and Martin III had a hat-trick, and Balestrieri scored for the Lombards in the final.
1991/1992: a victory by Casagrande and Scifo
With Mondonic on the bench, on 9 February 1992 Torino-Cremonese finished 2-0. At the Stadio Delle Alpi, in front of 29,788 spectators, they scored Big house at minute number 8 e Scifo on a penalty in the 85th minute. On that occasion, Turin didn’t shine particularly, but took advantage of the defeats of Inter and Lazio to rejoin the UEFA zone. At the time, the former Gustavo Giagnoni was on the Cremonese bench.
1984/1985: just Corradini in the opening
On 27 January 1975 at the Stadio Comunale in Turin, Torino-Cremonese took place: the final result was 1-0 for the grenades. Corradini’s goal was enough after just 6 minutes of play in front of 25,730 spectators. The coach of the Taurus was Gigi Root, while Emiliano Mondonico was on the Cremonese bench. The goal came thanks to a mistake by Pancheri on a free-kick taken by Junior, but then Toro’s life got complicated between mistakes and bad luck.
