This 2023 caught us quite off guard when it comes to concerts…
The year started with a storm of shows: Muse, The World Is a Vampire, Lives Latin, Ceremony, Foals and many more. The situation strained our wallets, but we also had some pretty memorable experiences.
Definitely Rosalía y Travis Scott in it Bicentennial Park They are the two most amazing shows we have seen so far in this 2023 (The TQM Ceremony Festival), but obviously we do not forget Thom YorkeJonny Greenwood y Tom Skinnerwho performed two shows with The Smile a few days ago at the National Auditorium.
In short, Mexico had not received as many concerts as in this 2023 and the truth is that we are very grateful for it. It seems that it is no longer necessary to travel abroad to enjoy an important tour because we currently have all the concerts that are relevant worldwide on this side (what a blessing).
The best thing is that the year is not over! The panorama looks fascinating with the arrival of the most important tour of 2023 (The Eras Tour), the return of legendary bands (Depeche Mode) and the possible farewell to one of the most beloved singers in the country (Morrissey).

Lana Del Rey – August 15 – Foro Sol
The pandemic interrupted the natural course of life and prevented us from witnessing the promotional tour of Norman Fucking Rockwellone of the best albums of the past decade and probably the most acclaimed recording work of King’s wool.

The singer is at the peak of her career, with a show of almost three and a half hours in which she covers the most important albums of her career: from the classic Fearless to the acclaimed and contemporary Midnights.
This is the show that everyone is talking about in this 2023 and the truth is that we do not expect it to reach our country due to the dimensions of the production. The fact that the pop figure arrives in Mexico is proof that there are no longer impossible ones on this side of the world.
Morrissey – September 10 – Palacio de los Deportes
The singer will have his own “The Eras Tour” with his celebration of four decades of career at the Palacio de los Deportes.
Since his debut with The Smiths Right up to his most recent solo songs, the show is set to cover most of the career of the English musician, who has a vast repertoire filled with seminal songs in British rock history.
Surely we will hear topics like Suedehead, Everyday Is Like Sunday y First of the Gang to Diebut let’s cross our fingers to witness the classics Handsome Devil, Still Ill, Reel Around The Fountain y That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore of his time with The Smiths.
Depeche Mode – September 21, 23 and 25 – Foro Sol
After the death of Andrew Fletcher, Depeche Mode is performing some of the most emotional shows of his entire career during his Memento Mori Tour.
Condemnation, Waiting For The Night, Home, In Your Room and the new Ghosts Again are some of the melancholic themes that are usually included in his set, which seem to represent the feeling of mourning for Dave Gahan y Martin L. Gore after the death of his beloved companion.
In terms of production, the show looks more discreet than, for example, Tour Of The Universe o Touring The Angelbut what really matters is the music and wow, his setlist is made up of great moments: from World In My Eyes explicitly dedicated to Fletcher until a quite exciting final combo with the essentials Just Can’t Get Enough, Never Let Me Down y Personal Jesus.
The Cure at Corona Capital 2023 – November 19 – Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez
We close this brief list with the return of Robert Smith and company to Mexico City.
The band has a new record up their sleeves that hasn’t been released yet: Songs Of A Lost World, so this tour is a perfect opportunity to listen live and before anyone else the news of the British group.
The leader of the band has already promised that he will offer a show of at least two and a half hours, so here we are getting ready to listen to a good review of his entire discography, and hopefully, with a good number of songs from his latest albums. dark: Wish, Disintegration, Faith y Pornography.
