“Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen and the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, have reunited. Co-star Melanie Lynskey, who played Charlie’s stalker Rose, found out about it live on a podcast – and immediately spoke about a possible reunion.
In 2011, Charlie Sheen sealed his fate as the lead on the sitcom Two and a Half Men when he made headlines with a scathing speech against series creator Chuck Lorre. Sheen was fired and working together again seemed unthinkable. All the more surprising was the news that Sheen and Lorre have reconciled. And the two were able to pull themselves together again to work together again: Sheen will be in Lorre’s new show “How to be a bookie” appearing in a recurring role.
This is also reason for joy for co-star Melanie Lynskey. The actress found out about Sheen and Lorre’s reconciliation while taping the new edition of Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast. “I always wish both of them the best,” she said of the news. “This is really wonderful!”
The idea of a comeback for the sitcom was noticeably well received by Lynskey: “There were so many funny moments on this show,” said the 45-year-old. “I really love sitcoms taped in front of a live audience. The energy is unparalleled, especially when people know and love the show!” Lynskey said she would definitely be there if the reunion happened. Even if it were only as a guest star.

No reunion announced yet
In the series, Lynskey played Rose, the stalker and later lover of Sheen’s Charlie. After Sheen’s departure from the series, Rose instead focuses on millionaire Walden Schmidt, played by his replacement Ashton Kutcher. What Rose’s story would be like in a sequel to the hit show is an intriguing question for fans. Finally, in the last episode, the secret was revealed that Rose had held Charlie captive in a pit for four years.
However, it is not known that such a reunion would actually be planned. At first, Lorre and Sheen will be busy with “How to Be a Bookie” anyway.
