In the Northwest region there are more than 300 missing persons files since 2018, of which more than 40 this year alone, and while Nuevo Casas Grandes leads the list with more than 50 percent, Puerto Palomas de Villa follows as the place where more people have disappeared in the region.

It was last Wednesday, May 3, when the State Attorney General, César Jáuregui Moreno, arrived in Nuevo Casas Grandes with dozens of elements of the SSPE, the Mexican Army and the National Guard, to take over the police facilities. municipal, in response to the rates of disappearance of people in the area.

At the scene, it was reported that Manuel FU and Juan Carlos EO were arrested in possession of small and large caliber firearms, as well as live ammunition, explosives and stolen vehicles.

It was added that during the deployment that was coordinated thanks to the Sentinel strategy, the collaboration of the Special Forces and the use of the corporation’s helicopter that has been operating in the region from the 35th Infantry Battalion, the agents located the detainees, who were wanted by the General Directorate of Investigations Specialized in Priority Crimes.

In these actions, four vehicles were seized, three of them reported stolen, 98 explosive cartridges, four explosive devices wrapped in tan tape, 98 pieces of gel sausage-type explosive, 12 long weapons, one short weapon, 107 cartridges of useful ammunition, six chargers and a tactical team.

The two detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), to begin the corresponding investigations.
