HOUSTON – A man was shot by Harris County officers after being identified as a suspect in the killing of his grandparents Thursday in northwestern Harris County.

The shooting with the suspect occurred in the 11800 block of Cathy Drive around midnight, but the bodies of the victims were discovered a mile away at 12800 Foxburo.

According to the authorities, the officers received information about the homicide of two people by a relative.

According to the initial investigations, it was the same suspect who commented on the death to people unrelated to the case. They called the authorities, who went to the house and found the bodies of a 72- and 70-year-old man and woman, respectively.

When officers searched for the suspect, they managed to locate him on the roof of a home near the crime scene. There was an exchange of fire in which the suspect was wounded. None of the policemen were injured.

“He was hiding a bit and when they found him, we believe there was an exchange of shots,” González said. “We are trying to confirm that he did shoot, but our initial indication was that he fired at the officers. The agents returned fire, hitting it multiple times,” he added.

The possible crime scene was a dismembered doll in a bag.
