The police are in the area of the Nationaltheatret at Vika in Oslo following a report of a possible shooting incident on the night of Sunday.
The police state that two people are injured, and that first aid is being worked on the scene.
– Two people were located with injuries compatible with the use of firearms. The injured persons are now receiving health care, says operations manager Alexander Østerhaug in a message to the press.
A tipster tells VG that she heard four shots followed by screams and shouts. The tipster also says that a person was lying down and received first aid from passers-by before the police and ambulance arrived at the scene.
The police are looking for one or more perpetrators.
The police state that the mission was defined in the initial phase as Plivo (ongoing life-threatening violence). This was reversed after some time.
