PRELIMINARY – A fatal accident occurred this Wednesday morning at kilometer 40.4, PR-52, from Cayey to Caguas.
According to preliminary information, two people died and another two are caught after hitting a tree.
The identities of the victims are unknown at this time.
Traffic is reported to be heavy while the investigation is complete. Citizens are urged to use alternate routes, such as the PR-01 highway to Caguas.

This is the second accident in the area in less than 10 hours. At about 10:19 pm on Tuesday, another fatality occurred on PR-52, kilometer 29.8 from Cayey to Caguas.
The preliminary report shows that while a driver was traveling on the road, he did not keep a prudent distance between cars, for which reason he hit the rear of a truck with the front of the vehicle, which was traveling in the same direction.
Due to the impact, the driver of the car, who has not been identified, died at the scene.
Personnel, attached to the Caguas Highway Division, together with the prosecutor on duty, took charge of the investigation.
