Sweden is sharpening its claws in the hunt for the gold in the hockey World Cup. From the NHL club Toronto, Timothy Liljegren joins and clubmate William Nylander joins him if the insurance issue can be resolved.

Since two players have left the team, everything points to striker William Nylander from Toronto being on the way. The insurance issue needs to be resolved before Nylander can join and according to SVT, the Swedish confederation is working on the matter.

In the NHL regular season, Nylander was recorded in 82 regular season games for 40+47=87 points. The 27-year-old striker has previously been very happy in the national team jersey. In 21 World Cup matches, he has accounted for a whopping 37 points.

Sweden will face Hungary, France and Denmark before the supposed group stage final against the USA on Tuesday.
