One woman loses her life and another recovers from her injuries after being hit by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn.
According to the police report, a blue Mazda was heading east on Eldert Street near Knickerbocker Avenue in Bushwick shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday when it struck two women.
A 71-year-old woman was transported to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.
The other 44-year-old victim is in stable condition.
The driver got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. The police are looking for him.
