The investigations carried out by the Investigating Court Three of Puerto Iguazú in the framework of the clarification of the murder of the farmer Luis Omar Neis (68), who was shot dead and whose body in an advanced state of decomposition was found on May 1 of the year spent in his farm as Comandante Andresito, paid off and during the last hours more than important news for the file was recorded. And it is that after five raids arranged by the Misiones Police in different houses of the aforementioned town, the arrest of one of the two alleged murderers and a teenager who would have collaborated in the event was achieved.

While the investigators continue with the search for the second perpetrator of the homicide who, in complicity with the others involved, would have planned the crime in order to steal the victim’s truck and then sell it in parts in Brazil.

According to the data provided by sources linked to the investigation, the police operations took place after the intervening court, headed by Judge Martín Brites, collected in recent months a series of key testimonials for the case and which yielded data on the identity of two alleged criminals who would have committed the murder.

Based on these contributions in court, the investigators reconstructed that for four days, the alleged perpetrators, identified as Gabriel Alejandro G. (19) and Jorge “Jorgito” DS (19), would have carried out various monitoring and surveillance tasks on Neis on his farm in the Andresito Peninsula area.

This allowed them to know which roads the victim used every time he left his property, which used to happen very few times a month since, according to family members of the farmer, Neis was considered a hermit and had little contact with his relatives. .

Based on the investigations, it was established that the last time Neis left his property with a truck, he was seen by the two young men when he was refueling at a local service station, which the attackers took advantage of to get ahead of the road and get to the farm earlier. And after waiting for the homeowner, both hiding in the garage, when parking the truck, the victim was shot, apparently before getting out of the vehicle.

During searches, parts of the victim’s truck were recovered.

Moments later, always according to the reconstruction of the investigations, the attackers removed the victim’s body and took it to another sector of the farm where days later it would be found lifeless by one of its neighbors.

It is believed that once the homicide was completed, one of the youths drove the farmer’s Toyota Hilux along a dirt road until he reached the Cabure-í area, and from there he took National Route 101 to reach the town of San Antonio. At this last point, the offender would have taken care of dismantling the truck and several of the parts were taken to be sold in Brazil. This is where the third person involved in the case appears.

For investigators, the duo had the collaboration of Yoni, a 17-year-old teenager who apparently kept various parts of the scrapped truck.

Raids

Based on all of the above, members of Regional Unit V began various investigations and during five raids ordered by the Justice they managed to arrest Gabriel Alejandro G. (19), who for the moment was charged with murder in real competition with the robbery crime. While in another of the proceedings, the alleged 17-year-old accomplice was located, who was made available to the Eldorado Correctional and Juvenile Court.

While in the case of Jorge DS (19) he was not located at his partner’s house where he usually resides and at this time he is intensely searched.

It turned out that several cell phones, a motorcycle, a 22-caliber compressed air rifle, as well as an exhaust pipe, a brake bulb, a fuel tank, and a battery that could belong to the scrapped truck were kidnapped in the various seized properties. .
