With this contingent, the Italians have the best chance of conceding the leading English (21,142) in the season ranking.

So the Bundesliga will start the coming European Cup season in fourth place with the 2018/19 discarded result – should the devil not be at fault. Since this does not change anything in the distribution of the starting places, this is not particularly dramatic. It would only be disadvantageous if they slipped down to fifth place. However, the gap in Ligue 1 and Eredivisie is reassuring.
