The statement, made by President Zelensky’s adviser Mychajlo Podoljak, comes after the Russian presidential office claimed that Ukraine was behind a drone attack on the Kremlin overnight, which was repelled.

He also points to the Russian mobilization in Crimea as an indicator that attacks on Ukraine may occur shortly.

At the same time, Podoljak refutes the accusations from the Kremlin:

“Obviously, Ukraine has nothing to do with drone attacks on the Kremlin. We do not attack the Kremlin because, above all, it does not solve any military tasks,” he says in a written comment to Reuters.

NATO: “Increased concern”

NATO intelligence chief David Cattler said on Wednesday that the defense alliance sees a significant risk that critical infrastructure in Europe and also North America could be attacked in connection with Russia’s war in Ukraine.

– There is an increased concern that Russia will sabotage underwater cables and other critical infrastructure to disrupt life in the West and try to gain an upper hand over the countries that contribute to Ukraine’s security, he says.
