The Southern Command of the Ukrainian armed forces also reported the attacks and published several photos of destroyed and burning buildings as a result of the launch of drones against the Odessa region. One of the photographs appears to show a damaged industrial space.

Meanwhile, the Russian occupation forces that control the eastern part of the Kherson province in southern Ukraine continue to plant explosive mines in the area in anticipation of the announced Ukrainian counter-offensive, the Kiev General Staff reported in its daily part.

“In the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson province, the Russian invaders continue to mine the area and reinforce their defensive capabilities,” read the military report of the Ukrainian General Staff.

The Russians are also laying mines in the Konka and Dnipro rivers, according to the official note. The Dnipro River cuts the Ukrainian province of Kherson in two. On the eastern bank are the territories occupied by Russia, which withdrew from the western bank last November under Ukrainian pressure.

The Ukrainian armed forces say they have evidence of cases of residents on the eastern bank of the river, who have been exploited by these mines with which the Russians seek to defend the occupied territory.

The Ukrainian military report also speaks of intense fighting in Bakhmut, Mariinka, Avdiivka and Liman, the four hottest areas of the entire front located in eastern Ukraine.
