In a week it’s been a year since the anime started airing. My Dress Up Darlingthe adaptation of Shiniki Fukuda’s manga that became one of the most successful in 2022. A couple of Ukrainian cosplayers undertook the task of recreating a scene from the anime that shows Marin Kitagawa cosplaying as Rizu Kyun with Goto-san In a bed.
The success that the My Dress-Up Darling anime has had was reflected throughout the past year, as we constantly saw new Marin Kitagawa cosplays inspired by the looks she has throughout the first season. On a certain occasion Marin dressed up as Rizu Kyun and the Ukrainian Amane recreated that scene together with Karu Sempai as Goto.
The second season of the My Dress-Up Darling anime is expected to premiere during the month of January 2023, but it is not yet confirmed on which day. It is clear that the expectation has only increased, since the cosplays of Amane and Karu Sempai were published at the end of November, a little over a month ago.
In reality, Amane has not recently started publishing photos cosplaying her favorite characters, since the first publication dates back to November and she had become Yor Forger from Spy x Family. To date, Amane has barely four cosplays, but without a doubt, Rizu Kyun’s from My Dress-Up Darling is the closest to the original work.
As for Karu Sempai, December marked one year since the first cosplay post we found on her social media, so she has had more time to transform into some of her fictional characters, such as Denji from Chainsaw Man and Kazuha from Genshin. Impact.
As Amane says in her Instagram post, the collaborative session with Karu Sempai occurred spontaneously because no one planned a couple session, but they were still satisfied with the results.
