How the Unity drama now threatens the future of developers

They found out out of the blue together with the gaming community, in a simple blog post: the developers who have been working with Unity for many years to make their games a reality.

From 2024, every time a game produced with Unity is installed somewhere in the world, the developers will pay Unity a fixed amount. And the thousands of developers around the world who are affected by this didn’t even get an email.

Now many are faced with big question marks. How can things continue for them financially? Is this change even legal? How much do they have to subsequently pay for games that have already been on the market for many years? What about the data protection of your players?
