February began with the presentation of the new family of Galaxy S23 cell phones. Samsung organized the Unpacked 2023 at the Masonic Auditorium, in San Francisco (California, United States) and FayerWayer was present to see first-hand all the news from South Korean manufacturers.
The presentation and price of the Galaxy S23 were clearly the main focus of the Samsung event. And of course we are going to address this, because it was a topic that was touched on in Unpacked 2023.
However, it was not the only thing for Samsung, since in the same event they took advantage of the spotlights of the media coming from all over the world, to announce a new series of laptops.
Samsung Laptop Series: Vision for Game Development
Samsung adds three new models to the Galaxy Book 3 series. These are the Book 3 Pro, Book 3 Pro 360 and Book 3 Ultra. For each of the devices, the company develops gadgets for different users.
The worker and student will find an ideal tool in the Book 3 Pro, the Book 3 Pro 360. While the inveterate gamer will have the option of the Book 3 Ultra.
All three teams are light and thin. The first two have 14 and 16-inch screens and the other, the ideal one for video game development, has a design in which you can move the keyboard to make it look like a tablet and make it more comfortable to play.
They arrive with a 13th generation Intel i7 and i9 processor and an NVIDIA RTX 4070 and RTX 4050 graphics card. Prices? Yes, in Unpacked 2023 they clarified them:
- Book 3 Pro: starting at $1,249
- Book 3 Pro 360: starting at $1,399
- Book 3 Ultra: starting at $2,199

Now yes, the Samsung Galaxy S23
There are three models, just as it happened with the 2022 family. In fact, they go with the same names, but the difference in numbers: S23; S23 Plus and S23 Ultra.
First of all, although many place the first two cell phones in the “low-end” family, their processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (with Adreno 740 GPU) immediately puts them in the upper-middle. In fact, the S23 Ultra also comes with the same engine.
Perhaps the most noticeable difference is in size and weight. For example, the S23 Ultra we got our hands on is heavier than usual. This is a feature that many users like, since it serves as a support when we have nowhere to rest our hands or elbows. oh! I almost forgot, due to the large size of the Ultra, 6.8-inch screen, the device comes with an S-Pen.
All three will have Android 13 as the initial operating system and a custom security layer called One UI 5.1, which Samsung itself provides.
And if you think that the camera of the S22 is one of its best elements, the people of Samsung managed to improve them in the Galaxy S23 series.
To give you an idea, only the Ultra will come with a 200-megapixel main lens. This is accompanied by a 200 MP angle, 12 MP Ultra wide angle and 10 MP telephoto; the front is 12MP.
