This new work for the development of its Campus adds to the two buildings already completed and another under construction. The 4th project is for the UNRaf Tec Applied Research Center, which has laboratories dedicated to scientific research and knowledge transfer with a strong link to the productive network of Rafaela and the region.

The call for tenders was published by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Nation, within the framework of the Federal Program “Build Science”. In this way, the National Public Tender No.: 01/2023 allocates a official budget is $1,068,807,804.02 pesos.

It is located on the north side of the University Campus property and occupies a plot of land of approximately 2400 m2. It has two longitudinal naves, 50 meters by 12 meters and 60 meters by 12 meters respectively, with a north-south orientation, developed on two floors (low and high), with a double-height space between them crossed by metal bridges that link the wings of the building on the top floor. The building was designed to be quick to build and flexible in use, with an independent metal structural system with a full core.

The goal of Federal Building Science Program is to contribute to the strengthening of the capacities of scientific research, development and technological innovation of the institutions of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation (SNCTI), through the creation or adaptation of their infrastructures, considering a federal perspective to increase the capacities and reduce existing asymmetries between jurisdictions and regions of the country.
