A ‘WHITE guy’ from Yorkshire has been cast in a starring role in a Bollywood blockbuster.

He will be the first white Briton to land a starring role in the country’s huge film industry, despite having no formal acting training.

Instead, he turned to fitness and became a personal trainer. His first taste of Bollywood came when he landed a three-month contract in India to train movie stars.
Clients included Ranveer Singh, 37 – the Bollywood equivalent of Tom Cruise – Arjun Kapoor, 37, and the late Sushant Singh Rajput.
Richard became interested in their lives and films and began to land a few small acting roles in television and film. Having never studied a foreign language, he decided to learn Hindi.
And it was when a casting agent saw him talking about it on YouTube that he got a call to audition. Richard, known on social media as Gora – ‘White Guy’ in Hindi – said: “They offered me the part right away.
“It’s unheard of for a foreigner whose mother tongue is not Hindi to get this type of role. I had to do loads of practice on accent stuff and fighting. It was really hard – real Bruce Lee stuff.
The title of the film – which will be released later this year – has yet to be revealed.
Richard added: “As a white dude from Huddersfield I never thought I would play such a big part. I am excited and more than ready.
