In an interview, Florian Silbereisen suddenly becomes unusually political. For the New Year he wishes “that this madness in Ukraine will stop”.

Tiefgraben – Florian Silbereisen (41) is unusually political in an interview. In a conversation with “Express”, the moderator actually talks about his longtime friend and colleague Jürgen Drews (77) and the upcoming farewell show that Silbereisen is organizing for him on ARD.

Florian Silbereisen and Jürgen Drews have become good friends over the years – of course the showmaster wants a fitting farewell for his friend Jürgen. But there is another wish that Silbereisen has for the new year and is burning on his soul. For the New Year, the 41-year-old wishes for peace and surprisingly becomes political in the interview: “It sounds so trite, but I wish that this madness in Ukraine would stop.”

Florian Silbereisen: “I wish that we walk through the world with open eyes and ears”

And that’s not all – Florian needs a change in society that should ensure peace: “I wish that we would all talk to each other more again, not let ourselves be divided,” explains the show master and hopes for more in the new year open eyes, more open ears, and more minds. “I wish that we […] pay a little more attention to each other and don’t just see everything in black and white”.

With Jürgen Drews, you can not only steal horses, but also talk about topics that move the world, explains Silbereisen. “Jürgen is a very sensitive and profound person. He can throw the big party both on and behind the stage, as well as a quiet, intense conversation about life, politics, the environment and getting older.”
