This January 6, the director of Municipal Works, Álvaro O’Byrne, led the verifications of the progress of the urbanization project in the Los Cocodrilos community, located in San Salvador, which has 92% progress.

The project carried out together with the Ministry of Housing is part of an investment of $2.2 million for urbanization works throughout the Salvadoran territory.

“We are going to be benefiting 300 families that live at high risk and will be choosing to live in the municipality of San Salvador. The Ministry of Housing brings people to know the project so that they become familiar and that they are part of these projects of our president Nayib Bukele»explained director O’Byrne.

The Municipal Works Directorate (DOM) together with the Ministry of Housing have completed the installation of the drinking water, sewage and rainwater network, in addition to the placement of concrete on the streets and sidewalks of the community.

The complex will house 300 apartments for families living in high vulnerability.

«As Municipal Works Directorate we come to work on everything that is the urbanization project. The progress of the project is 92% and we hope that by the first week of February we will be finalizing it and making the delivery”, declared director O’Byrne during a press conference held this Friday.

The complex will have a children’s play area, a complementary green area and a soccer field, from which families living at high risk will be able to benefit.
