The United States Border Patrol (USBP) rescued this Monday 19 rafters who were making the sea crossing to reach the northern country and took the opportunity to ask that this route of illegal entry into the country not be used.

The operation was carried out by agents from the Air and Maritime Operations (AMO) patrol, who intercepted an “improvised boat that was seriously overloaded and in danger.”

Although the identities of the occupants of the rustic boat were not specified, due to the characteristics it presents it is possible that it came from Cuba.

The entity assured that the 19 rafters were at the disposal of the Coast Guard. In addition, he described the journey as “dangerous” and “not recommended.”
