Madrid. The spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, on Friday reproached the “Kiev elites” for “taking advantage” of US taxpayers’ money after receiving military aid from Washington worth more than 43,000 millions of dollars.

“Kiev’s elite is taking advantage not only of its citizens, but also of American taxpayers,” criticized Zajarova, who recalled an interview with Democratic candidate for the White House Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in which she stated that while Washington injects billions to Ukraine to continue the war, “millions of Americans do not have health insurance.”

Zakharova also recalled the latest military aid package announced by the Pentagon, which includes ammunition for Patriot missile systems, HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and anti-tank missiles.

“Washington’s military aid to Ukraine has exceeded $43.7 billion since Joe Biden took office as President of the United States,” Zakharova said. A figure that could increase, she has pointed out, after the White House has asked Congress to approve another 24 billion dollars.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the United States has established itself as kyiv’s main partner, with more than 70 billion dollars, including military, financial and humanitarian aid.
