US President Joe Biden drew a line under the coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday. The head of state ordered that vaccinations for almost all foreign visitors to the United States will no longer be compulsory from next Friday.
The obligation to vaccinate state employees and employees of companies that work for the state will then be lifted. At the same time, the Covid emergency ends. In September 2021, Biden’s government made vaccination compulsory for around 3.5 million federal employees and employees.
However, following a series of court rulings, the coercive measure has not been enforced for over a year. The World Health Organization (WHO) ended the global Covid health emergency last week. (Reuters)
