“Most important, in Vampire Survivors, it’s history. Seeing my little indie game developed during my weekends become an animated series is a dream come true! And it’s great to team up with such talented and experienced people. I just wonder if they realized there’s not a single vampire in Vampire Survivors.“

All kidding aside, the Story Kitchen team seems excited for the challenge. “When our creative director Dan Jevons spotted Vampire Survivors for us last year, we thought it would be a generic vampire game. Hundreds of hours of play later, we were all hooked and couldn’t tear ourselves away!! Needless to say, it’s a great honor for us to partner with this incredible team and continue the story of Vampire Survivors!“, asserts their co-founder Dmitri M. Johnson.
The said Dan Jevons also commented on the announcement: “Although the larger-than-life gothic world of Vampire Survivors has drained countless hours of productivity from us at Story Kitchen, we are excited and honored to collaborate with poncle to bring it to life in linear media form.“Linear media are, of course, non-interactive audiovisual content. This denomination tends to point the tip of its nose in the industry as transmedia experiments are taking more and more space in production schedules.
It won’t be the first time Vampire Survivors interested in animation. The Tides of the Foscari extension was unveiled with a short animated extract highlighting its protagonists. We’ll see what the poncle team will be able to offer in a larger format.
