Exchange of lines and accusations of aggression at the “Micul de aur” festival. A man approached George Simion while filming and asked him “what is it like to be a Russophile?”. The AUR leader told him that he was talking nonsense and as the man insisted and told him that he was live on Facebook, he replied “a fool came to me to ask me why I care about the Russians…”.

After a few more lines, the AUR leader came across his phone, and the man accused him of being aggressive.

After the footage went viral, the AUR leader came up with his own explanations on his website.

Simion says the man who came up to him is a “convinced userist” who made obscene gestures and tried to provoke him.

“In connection with the video from the “Little Golden Festival” in which I am beaten with egg and vinegar by a gentleman who presented the story in a distorted way, trying to show that he was the victim of an aggression on my part, I want to make a few clarifications, especially since I later found out that the people who caused the scandal on Saturday night are USR members. They are: Marian Petcu (the one who persistently made obscene signs), Ioana Popescu and Alexandra Iordăchescu – all convinced users as it appears from their social pages”, wrote Simion.
