Approximately 20 people were evacuated on Sunday morning from a block of flats on Iazului street in the municipality of Sibiu, where there was an explosion followed by a fire on the ground floor of the building, announced the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU).

“ISU Sibiu intervenes urgently on Iazului street in the municipality of Sibiu, where there was an explosion followed by a fire in an apartment located on the ground floor of a block of flats. (…) Up to this moment, approximately 20 people have been evacuated from the entire building. At this moment, they are trying to enter the apartment where the explosion took place, as there are dense smoke emissions”, said the spokesperson of ISU Sibiu, Andreea Ştefan.
Until the time of publication of the news, the ISU did not specify whether there were any victims as a result of the explosion.
