Mexico City.- The adolescent María Ángela Olguín, who had mysteriously disappeared in a Metro station in Mexico City while waiting for her mother to come out of the bathroom, was found alive and handcuffed in a vacant place in the city of Nezahualcóyotl, in the Mexico state.
The capital’s Prosecutor’s Office reported on its Twitter account about the location of the 16-year-old girl, who was taken to that institution to be handed over to her family.
In a video circulating on the networks, you can see the moment when the relatives meet the young woman at the headquarters of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for the Search, Location and Investigation of Missing Persons, located in the Obrera neighborhood, in the Mexican capital.
The teenager was last seen by her mother on January 19 in the Zacatenco Residential Extension neighborhood in the Gustavo A. Madero City Hall, in Mexico City. Her data had been included in the Amber Alert, which is an international system for reporting missing children.
How was the find?
The young woman was found naked and covered with black plastic bags in a vacant lot located at the intersection of Las Torres avenue and 12 at four in the afternoon, reports El Universal.
According to the testimonies of the neighbors, a man would have parked his car in that area and would have thrown the young woman to the ground, who was tied up and wrapped in bags.
An inhabitant of the area told Foro TV how she had noticed the presence of the minor on the site: “Suddenly I heard someone crying and I saw that there was someone on the ground. It was a girl,” she said.
When more people realized what was happening, they called an ambulance that was nearby. However, the emergency service could not be provided until the authorities arrived to authorize it, which happened minutes later.
For his part, the municipal president of Nezahualcóyotl, Adolfo Cerqueda, wrote on his Twitter account that the teenager was found by “elements of the Search Cell and the Victim Care team” of that municipality, which contradicts the version offered by the neighbors.
