Juarez City.- Hours after a route hit and killed a cyclist on the Panamericana, the video of a security camera that captured the moment of the accident was released.
In the images, a personnel truck can be seen circulating on the third lane of the Pan-American Highway in a north-south direction, which, upon reaching the intersection with Calle Privada de Sandoval, makes a prohibited ‘U’ turn.
The maneuver carried out by the driver is marked as prohibited by a graphic signage.
After turning around, the driver hits the cyclist with the left front of the truck.
The crew member of the bicycle was traveling in the opposite direction (north to south) along the lane in which the Juárez Bús travels from south to north.
The driver of the route avoided stopping and fled without providing help to the now deceased.
So far the whereabouts and identity of the driver responsible are unknown.
