Ukraine.- Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky carries a weapon and regularly trains with it, the president said in an interview on Ukrainian television channel 1+1 on Friday.
Asked by journalist Dmitri Komarov if he has a gun, Zelensky replied: “I do, yes.” In addition, when asked if he was practicing his marksmanship, the head of state also responded in the affirmative.
“Can you imagine the president of Ukraine being held captive by the Russians?” Zelensky said. “He’s a shame,” he added. “Does he need a gun for that?” Komarov asked, suggesting that the president plans to kill himself if that happens. “No, what about you? No (we shot ourselves),” he stated, indicating that he would prefer to defend himself with gunfire.
In addition, the Ukrainian leader revealed that at the beginning of Russia’s special military operation “there were boxes with weapons and ammunition in different parts of Bankova”, the street where the presidential office is located.
