Members of the National Gendarmerie seized 13 kilos of marijuana, almost 2,000 packs of cigarettes of foreign origin, video game accessories, and a large number of light bulbs.
The procedure was carried out in the town of Villa Olivari (Corrientes) and the elements emerged during the control carried out on a parcel transport that had left Puerto Iguazú hours before, bound for the province of Buenos Aires.
During the inspection, federal agents detected three packages containing 13 bricks of marijuana with a total weight of 13,042 kilograms.
In the same way, they also identified another 10 parcels of different sizes, which contained 1,997 packages of cigarettes of foreign origin whose value is around half a million pesos, a box with PlayStation 4 accessories (headsets, headphones, joystick) and 100 spotlights whose provenance could not be determined.
Federal Court 1 of Corrientes intervened in the case, initiating an investigation to determine the identity of the sender and receiver of the merchandise.
