The authorities of Sancti Spíritus recognize that the sale of fuel to private individuals through the Ticket platform is far from meeting the demand of the population.

So far, more than a thousand users have purchased through the Ticket application, which began on June 1 for sale to the private sector at service centers in the province only once a month.

However, the service is affected by the low availability of fuel and the technological instability of the application.

A weekly report Escambray He acknowledges that the virtual queue is not progressing at the rate that is needed, “in addition to being as uncertain and desperate as the physical one.”

Although the availability of gasoline is somewhat higher than that of diesel, hundreds of customers are still listed in the different service centers without having any idea when their turn will come, which leads to an increase in the price of the product on the black market and as result, to the final service paid by the user.

In the opinion of Camilo Pérez Pérez, coordinator of government programs and objectives, the sale of fuel through the digital application is going well, since physical queues have been eliminated for several days at the service centers.

“The objective is to favor the control and equitable distribution of fuel for all consumers, since in the analysis we did with the organizations there was a group of people who were dedicated to queuing without the need for fuel, only to profit,” he said. .

For his part, Miguel Miguel Romero, head of the commercial group of Servicentros Cimex, assures that the Ticket platform also allows the release of more than one fuel.

“Previously, only one fuel was released, which was B83 gasoline, and today the application allows us to release, although in smaller quantities, the three gasolines: the special B94, the regular B90 and the B83. Diesel continues to be more affected, which is the most demanded product for the economy,” he explained.

Romero admitted that it is not yet possible to sell on a daily basis, because despite experiencing a slight recovery, gasoline levels are still very low.

According to his testimony, it is always about ensuring that the client does not miss his turn.

“We made the determination that the ticket be purchased from eight in the morning to twelve at night that same day. When we are missing a client who has not attended the service center, around four in the afternoon, according to the list that is your number, we call you to attend and not miss your opportunity,” he explained.

At this time, the Ticket application works in all the municipalities of Sancti Spíritus, except in La Sierpe, which should be incorporated in the next few days.

It is a sales modality adopted by the provincial government, the Cimex branch and the Defense Information Technology Company (Xetid) to favor the control and equitable distribution of fuel for all consumers, in the midst of an acute energy crisis.

To buy the fuel when it is their turn, the user must present the identity card and the vehicle’s circulation license at the service center, the data of which must correspond to what is registered on the platform.

Due to the low availability of fuel, the distribution cycle is 30 days, so it can only be purchased once a month. The amount of fuel to be marketed is defined daily, according to the existence in the service centers.

The prohibition on selling fuel in containers is maintained, as well as its deposit in another type of vehicle that is not the one registered on the platform.
