Summer is approaching and with it the long-awaited opening of the outdoor pools in Vorarlberg.
After a long winter, swimmers and sunbathers alike look forward to refreshing themselves in the cool pools and sunbathing on the lawns.
The outdoor pool season starts on April 30 with the opening of the Walgaubad in Nenzing. Here the day ticket for adults costs 7.40 euros, while children are included for 4 euros. The Feldkirch forest pool and the Untere Au natural pool also open early on May 1st. With day ticket prices of 6 euros or 5.80 euros for adults and 3 euros or 2.70 euros for children, these pools are also an attractive option for bathing fun.
First day: May 6th
Other outdoor pools opening their doors in May include the Rheinauen in Hohenems and the Frutzau adventure pool, both open from May 6th. The Parkbad Lustenau, the Götzis swimming pool and the Hard lido also open on the same day. The day ticket prices range from 4.70 to 5.80 euros for adults and 2.30 to 3 euros for children.
The Alpenbad Montafon, the Mountain Beach Gaschurn-Partenen and the Bezau swimming pool will follow in mid-May, opening between May 17th and 18th. The prices here are between 6.40 euros and 6.80 euros for adults and 4.30 euros and 4.40 euros for children.
Schwarzenberg doesn’t open until the beginning of June
The family pool in Hittisau, the outdoor pool in Braz, the outdoor pool in Val Blu Bludenz and the lido in Bregenz open between May 13th and 26th. The prices here vary between 5.50 euros and 6.80 euros for adults and 3.50 euros and 4.20 euros for children.
Some outdoor pools, such as the Au swimming pool, the Mellau swimming pool, the Schoppernau forest pool and the Lochau lido, do not open until the end of May or the beginning of June. The Schwarzenberg swimming pool has announced the start of the season for the beginning of June.
There are no specific opening dates for the Egg swimming pool, Felsenau swimming pool and Enz Dornbirn forest pool, but the prices are already known: 5 euros and 6 euros for adults and 3 euros for children.
