Mexico City.- The senators from Morena and their allies held an ordinary session in the Casona de Xicoténcatl as an alternative venue, since the opposition rejected the session in the Senate.
After the senator entered the plenary session, planks were hurriedly installed in the patio and plastic chairs.
The Chambers of the Canal del Congreso that were already installed in the plenary session were also quickly lowered.
They lowered the cameras to place them in the patio on time, in order to start the transmission of the aforementioned session at 10:00 p.m. on time.
The first approved opinion was the constitutional reform to disqualify potential candidates for popularly elected positions, rapists of women and alimony debtors.
The appointed speakers, Malú Micher and Nestora Salgado, declined their participation and it went directly to the vote.
Senator Verónica Camino Farjat quickly read the name of each legislator and recorded the votes in favor, since there is no sound.
Without handing them the microphone, the senators shouted in favor, to save time.
The opinion was approved in 10 minutes with 63 votes in favor, zero against and 2 in abstention.
To ensure a quorum with 65 legislators, a protest was taken from Tanya Carola Viveros, the substitute for Senator Claudia Balderas, who is traveling in Brussels, Belgium.
