VW has presented its new electric sedan ID.7. The electric car is often referred to as the new electric Passat and is 4,97 Meter long – similar to a Mercedes E-Class. The wheelbase is 2,97 Meter and promises a spacious interior that offers space for 4 adults. Compared to the current Passat, the ID.7 is around 20 centimeters longer.

The car comes with one 210 kW drive and a torque of 545 newton meters. With the rear axle drive APP550 VW promises more power and efficiency compared to the electric motors in other ID models. The car with one 77 kWh-Akku should be available in autumn. Next year VW wants the ID.7 Pro S with 85 kWh release.

With the smaller battery should 170 kW be possible with the larger 200 kW. In terms of range, the ID.7 surpasses its sister models. Up to 700 Kilometer the E-Passat will be able to travel on one charge thanks to improved aerodynamics, it says on the part of VW.

Storage space under the front hood

The interior design looks more holistic and fine compared to the ID.3. Almost all functions are controlled via the central, integrated heads up screen controlled, the 15 inches and supports augmented reality. Among other things, interactive information such as turning arrows are displayed virtually.

The trunk of the ID.7 offers 532 Liter Storage space, which should be increased in the future. By 2024 at the latest, VW also wants the ID.7 as a Kombi offer. There is also a small storage space under the front hood.

Deliveries are scheduled to start in late summer. VW has not yet named a price, which should be just under 60.000 Euro beginning.
