After hearing about some new features and in particular the new Resurgence mode map over the past few days, Activision and Infinity Ward now present the usual and official infographic presenting all the new features to come for this Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern. Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

Real novelties or simple return of elements already present at the time?

Indeed, this question is more than legitimate when we look in more detail at the famous post from Activision and Infinity Ward. After a whirlwind start for Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0, the enthusiasm quickly faded and the gaming community highlighted an overall lack of content that had disappeared since Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone first of the name.

Faced with this, the developers had no choice but to load this Season 2 with new features, if we can talk about real new features. The 1v1 Gulag is making a comeback, Warzone is going to get a lot of gameplay overhauls bringing it closer to the first game, and for multiplayer, three of the four new maps are remakes of old maps. We can also note the return of the ranked as well as the weapon master mode. In short, nothing new under the sun.

Beyond that, it would be hard to spit on the return of Resurgence mode through a very promising new map, Ashika Island. The latter will be playable in Resurgence, but also in DMZ. DMZ, precisely, will welcome a whole new boss, a new faction and a new weapon box to grind. What prolong the experience of this singular mode.

On the operator side, Ronin is back, new skins are coming, the shop is also being renewed and in terms of weaponry, we discover five new weapons including the crossbow and the “Dual Kodachis”, two small Japanese swords for body to body.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will launch on February 15 and the games are still available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5 and PC.
