Mario Vargas Llosa confirmed the end of his relationship with Isabel Preysler, but the Spanish media have emphasized that the Nobel Prize for Literature contradicted who was his partner for almost eight years about the reasons for the breakup.
After arriving in Madrid from Paris, where he welcomed the New Year, Vargas Llosa had a brief encounter with the gossip. “I want to confirm the interview that Isabel has given in (the magazine) Hello!” He said after assuring that she is very well.
Immediately, he was consulted about the reasons for the breakup, since the Spanish publication had indicated that, according to Isabel Preysler’s environment, the writer’s jealousy was the trigger for the relationship.
“Is not true. They are not true”, alleged Vargas Llosa. “The reasons for the breakup do not exist,” he said, thus denying the initial statements of his now ex-partner.
According to Europa Press, the writer was silent when asked if it is true that he wants to return to his wife. “Something that despite the fact that it has been speculated on many occasions, Mario has preferred not to confirm or deny for the moment,” the agency added.
