The reason was a pill overdose of morphine and cortisone that I had administered myself without thinking.” Siegel had taken the painkillers for his triple herniated disc in the morning and in the evening at the same time. He: “I wanted to be fit for my New Year’s Eve party.”
The party at his house with twelve friends then took place without him – because Siegel insisted! He: “I had to stay in the clinic for observation, but I didn’t want to spoil my friends’ New Year’s Eve. We still had contact via mobile phone video.”
Siegel was released from the hospital Monday afternoon. How is its metastatic progressing prostate cancer disease?
Siegel: “The radiation treatments are behind me. I’ll find out in March if they’ve brought anything.”
